Seems I get delayed until monday to get the engine in.. the flywheel bearing came out in pieces. Probably because I forgot to put a jack under the gearbox before pulling the engine apart from the box, tearing the bearing off.
Been all over the city looking for a bearing, but the shops that could have it are closed on saturday, of course.

Guess I can take my time getting everything ready, have to patch some rust holes also at the front thats not reachable when the radiator is in.

Here is the blanking plate for the rear of the head. Original with a rubber seal, metal gasket on the Baleno G16B. Sealed a little bit with rtv silicone also

Good job so far.. I actually find it easier to just remove the gearbox before pulling out the motor, but ofcourse not as easy when the car is on the floor.

Did you check the flywheel for wear, as it looked alittle worn on the pictures?

It will do for now
The clutch has had its days so I should consider changing the flywheel later on

Nice to have some luck also!! A friend work at the service department at the Stressless factory next to my garage, they had a huge bearing stock!

New bearing in

Modified sump, spot weld first then took it off to complete weld. There was a threaded hole one cylinder behind that i could use for support bracket

Test fitted the sump before complete weld

No I have pulled the cam ring off
