Didnt get a great deal done today as it was bloody freezing in the garage so i built this out of an old bottle i had buried at the back :whistle:

Don't no if you can see mate but in the middle there is a gap about 15/20 mm because the front is wider then the rear

my old man made a load of these and sold them on ebay they went like hot cakes im always temped to wack some out think he got about 60-70 each for them if you cu the bottom round bit of and it half and turn them in to legs they work well to keep it of the floor

I cut down the top corners of the door surround and splayed then out abit to match the roof ;)

So far iv made about 4 of them for friends for there garages including one made from a 47kg bottle with an oven in the top above the fire :cheer:

How do you clear the gas? I was told you can take the valve off the top and fill it with water?

my old man filled his ones with water that's what I do with motorbike fuel tanks if modifying

Fabbed it up out of 6mm which is more than enough B) got a few other things to get on with aswell like making the sandwich plates so i can make the cage and tray removable

mines out of 5mm not exactly a tray but whole bumper and tray built in but 5mm plate is plenty for the job and as long as you welds are up to scratch will be fine heres a link to my bumper/tray build

Yeah 5mm is capable enough..

@kirkynut, i only get one day at the weekend to play in the garage due to the amount of hours i work during the week so iv got to crack on, plus iv got to spend at least an afternoon with the wife before she starts moaning :lol: did i mention the backend is nearly filled and ready to be sanded aswell :laugh:
