My Red Jimny!!

I beleave the Jimny is painted using acrylic paint with has no Clear Coat

In high quality paint there is a Base coat of colour and a Clear Coat which has added UV protection

The best thing to do with Acrylic paint is to keep polishing and waxing it especially if in very sunny eviroments as it will remove the sundamaged layer of paint and the wax will slow down the reaction to UV

But however there will come a time where you need a respray but if your going to go to them lenths then request it to be sprayed in base coat and laquar which will cost more but will last alot longer

mine had clear coat on it as i had to get the drivers wing painted and acrylic hasnt been used for years it water based now used to be 2pac and celilose and some of the paints dont sit well on each other
