Replacing Gen 3 Head Unit - Android Auto, Apple Carplay, DAB, Reversing Camera..
Completely get your argument here, for me there are a few reasons I went for the Head Unit instead of using my phone.
1. I'm a sucker for tidyness and my phone has a terrible battery life, so this system means I don't have to deal with any wires.
2. I prefer a bigger screen, I know people use IPads/Tablets on mounts but again, wires.
3. When out laning I like to use two maps to ensure I'm following the correct route, Outdoor Active on the Head Unit and Smart Train on my phone (I'm mostly the passenger).
4. Before I installed the head unit we had the Bluetooth transmitter and it just wasn't cutting it.
5. I just think they look cool and I had the money 😅
Appreciate it can be quite expensive though and not for everyone!
