I opted for front panel delete
But mine is just an off-road toy
The front slam panel has around 12 spot welds so replacing it for a new one is less time consuming than fabricating
If you go with a full panel I would suggest going round it with seam sealer, water ingress is the killer

Good approach angle there Jack, and I just noticed the hitch receiver as a recovery point. Did it take much to get that to fit and attach securely ?
Re the welding, last year I did some big patches under the headlights on both sides with a cheap gasless mig off amazon. So it only cost me 20 quid for some new welding wire. It takes a lot longer to diy the whole job, depending on how much grinding out you have to do. A small patch or hole turns into a very big hole by the time you get to clean metal. That was several weekends
Also depends how you want it to look. My welding is strong enough but I wouldnt want a real welder to see it. Covered in seam sealer who'd know.
