I believe you'll find that the original "breather caps" cannot be reinstalled once they have been removed.

I do dive and bathe my Jimny but never had any water ingress. -yet....
Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

Oh they can, mine has been off many times to clear them of mud and rust. they need a bit of persuation and metal handycraft to get back OK but can be done with a pair of pliers and a hammer.I believe you'll find that the original "breather caps" cannot be reinstalled once they have been removed.

Nice to know, I did keep the original caps, seal and spring, but I did think if I ever have to take it back I would just buy a new breather cap.
