Mike, I'm not sure a solder repair is an option with ABS wire. It's been a while since I had one apart, but I seem to recall that the wire and shielding were of a special type due to the tiny currents in the sensor. I may be misremembering but without some careful investigation I would not be confident on a solder repair on this type of sensor.
Wasn't there someone breaking a similar Jimny on here earlier in the summer? Do any of the forum regulars remember that post?

Ah, I think you're right. Looks like I'm stuck with the OEM option, unless I can find a breaker.
Apparently, looking into it, the circuits are sensitive to impedances introduced by soldering. So I'm guessing due to the wires being quite thin, there may be a small error for it being a different length as well.
