The no.1 tip is not to undo the drain plug before ensuring the filler plug can also be undone.
Also, when undoing the filler plug on the transfer box using the 10mm square key, the end of a ratchet driver is very close to the propshaft UJ. If it makes contact, you may have trouble reversing the ratchet to free it. Best to loosen the plug using the square key, then use a 3/4 drive ratchet with no attachment to finish taking it out.

I have a little pump that screws into the cap of a standard oil bottle. However it is best to warm the oil bottle in the airing cupboard for a few hours before.
