Don't disturb those they are the refrigerant lines and contain gases that are bad for you and the environment. The ones you want are on the bulkhead and feed the heater matrix. I'm still at work or I would photo them for you.

I think I found the hoses that you are referring to. I'm guessing these should be loop at the engine side. If so would it be possible that the top hose can reach the engine exit of the bottom hose? Or will I definitely need a pipe to connect both?
