Hi
i have a 2006 Jimny with the usual rot in the rear boot well, seatbelt anchorage points.
ive spotted a 2005 car in the local scrap yard with a rust free boot floor(hard to believe)
my question is how easy is it to cut the good floor out?
I can make cuts all the way round but is it welded to the chassis underneath and if so whereabouts?
I know that I can buy a replacement panel but I was hoping to save a few quid

thanks
Tom

I’d be astonished if it’s welded to the chassis. Watch out for anything below (fuel tank) and then whip it out with 1mm slitting discs would be my approach!

From memory the edges are spot welded and there's 2 or 3 braces side to side so either drill or as said above slitting disk.
