I know some (i'm one of them) change diff gear ratio, 4.56 4.88 5.38.....a big change in hi range gear but nobody make or try something for low range.

Have you changed the diff gearing on a Gen4? If so what was the ratio of the original, and was it a manual or auto?

The 4.09, is that from the documentation, or was it actually calculated from the gears.

What has been published as the final drive doesn't make sense to me, because all the other ratios (gearbox/transmission and transfer) remain exactly the same for both manual and auto, as the gen3.

If it was true, the manual would be labouring along, while the auto would be screaming.

I had someone accidentally put 4.09 in my gen3 manual, it wasn't a great drive with bigger tyres.

Which is completely opposite of the Gen 3.
