Fenders are original, but have been cut.
These fender flares are made for 31" tires, you can see rubber in some pics to make the flares bigger.

Nice truck B)
must be designed for snow fields where the bigger footprint of larger wheel/tyre diameter is more important than flex

Without wanting to hijack the post - I went to Iceland in Feb with my bros for a stag do and spent most of the time at the wheel of our rental super landy.

My brothers thought it was funny when i was telling our tour guide that i had a 4x4 - he just laughed and called it a toy and something you'd get from "rent-a-wreck" - the local rental place. Gummi (the tour guide) said that there were Super jimnys out there but we never saw one :-( Obviously you were hiding HolmarH B)

I did glimpse a lifted vit on the way back to the airport though

Just a little clip of one of our excursions in said super landy
- plenty more on my profile of our adventure

In terms of offroading - Iceland has gotta be the most impressive and spectacular places to play in a 4x4 - roads exist only on a map - on land you drive where its safe One day i'm planning on returning and continue where i left off B)

Instead of turning this into a "I was on Iceland"- thread, I encourage all to post picture of their Jimny on 33". Since the threads topic is 33", this can be a nice thread for other that want to fit 33"s on their Jimny.

To everybody:
Post your pic of your 33" shoed Jimny, and write your setup on the mods that made it done!

Firstly sorry for hi jacking the thread, but we did spend alot of time with our tour guide who's own Icelandic truck is pretty famous - its one of the ones that went to the south pole and so he knows his stuff when it comes to lifted trucks with floatation tyres and he told us some quite useful info that may (or may not help).

Many of the super jeeps including what few jimnys there are, are custom built by only a few companies. These have developed their own methods, designs, etc, and very rarely do off the shelf kits - out there people's lives depend on their truck, so they need to be spot on. He did tell us that one of the biggest suppliers of trucks like this is "Arctic trucks" - a quick google will provide you with a link to their website. He also explained that the majority of the tyres for the trucks were made by Arctic Trucks aswell. Apparently its a very closed industry, and one that us very expensive.

However people outside Iceland have fitted 33"s -

www.4x4offroads.com/offroading-suzuki-jimny-iceland.html - dont know if you've seen this, but again it seems like he's used icelandic parts. May be worth contacting Arctic trucks or similar
