Started my project to change the kingpin bearings. Everything was fine until i tried to remove the old bearing outer races. The biltema 1" socket i bought today is going thru the race . Tried to reposition it couple of times but when i take the hammer it just slips through.

Is there any mm sizes or special type of socket i need to use? Or do i just need to buy more sockets and try what works? Annoying that everything else was easy and now i have a problem like this.

Do not buy the Biltema 1" socket for this task :).

What kind of socket you use to change the bearing race? I see in some pics 24mm socket? 1" sockets seems to be not too easy to get here.

Hi, Finland.

Probably need to go back to Biltema with ruler and pick up the next size available in mm. Anyone from Nordics done a kingpin bearing change with a Biltema tools? :)

Probably the current socket they sell in Biltema is just too modern and thin.
