Mine is an 02, and was overheating. No oil water/water oil mix. Turned out to be the head gasket had rotted and water was getting into the back cylinder (could be no1 or no 4-who knows!).
Never done a head gasket before but advice on here was fantastic and I managed it. Has not overheated or lost a drop of water since. Head skim cost me £30 cash!
