Has the sealant blocked a water passage. Have used it on other cars and have blocked the heater matrix, so as skywalker65 says, at the end of the day it is best to fix the problem correctly

I only concider k seal a get me home fix,we had a golf tdi in the garage last week that had been ran on k seal for months the engine was shot and it clogged everything pipes matrix thermostat.get it fixed properly before it's an expensive repair.

I don't know how much truth there is in what my indie told me, but K Seal is the secondhand car dealers best friend.

He told me that K Seal is a small investment that, by some car dealers, is put in into every car to stop small leaks and any small head gasket problems that might arise in the first year after they sell the car. Sounds probable to me, but some will scoff at the suggestion, especially secondhand car dealers :laugh:

Thanks for the plug helijohn. We make Bars Seals and Bars Flush and Bars Leaks! Glad you like it :) I can't be sure, but I have been led to believe that 'in the good old days' Land Rover used to put Bars products into all vehicles from new!

Reliants had it in and the handbook said to put it in when the coolant was drained!!

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

So did Jaguar, it was the only way to keep water in them for any length of time ;)

I think the old gravity castings were pretty much all porous, like British bikes with oil.

Going to 20th century casting methods cured it.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
