Overheating after using k-seal was created by WillFindlay
Had been loosing a small amount of coolant from the cooling system so used a bottle of k-seal to solve this issue which it did. The engine now however is running extremely hot all the time

Where was the leak? I found a hole that had been plugged up in the middle of my radiator causing overheating. I've also used K seal for a leak near the water pump and had no issues since

I have used K seal many times and never had a problem but I have used others like rad weld which clumps up and creates potential blockage. Having said that for a small rad leak problem I swear by Bars leaks.
K seal has been very effective for me.

Is it possible that the leak allowed air into the system? it may just need bleeding.

Surely if you've got a leak somewhere it's better to fix it correctly than chuck something that when all said and done is nothing more than a bodge
