Your CD should just have pdf files on it, the one you want is 99500_81A10_01E_1.pdf it should just open with acrobat reader, or some such (but windows 7 is a bit odd in what it permits to happen, maybe you need copy it off the cd to somewhere else.)

Otherwise there is a thread about manuals in the stickies

think my one is same as yours

According ttoo the workshhop manual

Remove
Sump
Timing cover and timing chain, camshaft sprockets
Camshafts
Wiring connectors to cam and crank sensors
Inlet and exhaust manifolds
Power sreer pump
Cylinder head bolts
Cylinder head

Sump and timing cover recommend Suzuki sealant, but a good quality instant gasket should suffice..

Good Luck

You haven't seen how hairy my toes are!

I wonder if a nice friendly garage will let you into their Autodata computer's info just for the head torqueing procedure and settings as the rest I think from your experience you'll work out as you go along.

Are you getting the head skimmed? At that mileage I think I would.

It's a testament to these twin cam units how good they are if they get to 178k miles before needing a new head gasket!

Removal of the sump is recomended in workshop manual, as rhe timing chain coverr is bolted to the sump, any disturbance could cause a future oil leak.
Why read the manual and then ignore the procedure ???
