Fire a 2nd hand piston and rod into it you have got nothing to loose for the cost of a head gasket and some silicon to put the sump back on with what i would check however that the valves on that cylinder are not leaking and also is there any air being sucked in around the injector or manifold gasket just wondering if maybe that cylinder is running lean and that is what detonated the piston :whistle:
