That's ok, I will happily help if I can!nate78 wrote: thanks, i apologise for all the questions, i just want to get all the parts together so when i start the job the truck is off the road for the smallest amount of time, i dont fancy finding that i need a part then being held over a barrel for it, thanks again

Hey mate, First of all, i am portuguese, so sry for any bad writing. I did the convertion on my jimny to G13B GTi, as i use to have a swift gti too , and loved that engine.
Mechanically the engine bolts, but you have to buy the dizzy adapter, or cut a litlle of the back of the engine compartment, and build a box like i do, so the dizzy can fit ! If you choose to cut like me, you will stay without any air in the car...
Just use the jimny mounts, and adapt the jimny exhaust header, because of the engine mount , the swift gti one, doesnt fit and doesnt match the jimny exhaust !
The flywheel , clutch, oil sump and starter, all jimny.
And mechanichally thats all you have to do, and the engine just bolts on.
The really complicated thing, and you will have do all the car electrics, so choose a good electrician. The main problem is that the wiring of the jimny is complete, doesnt come of of the engine wiring, so you had to pull it all of, select wire by wire the engine management wires, and let the rest, and make the front of the car (headlights etc) wiring again, and match with the swift gti harness.
You will need all the swift gti harness, including both fuse boxes, all relays, etc...so basically its the worst part....
Perfect its if you can find a complete Swift GTi and do the complete swap, its much simple.
In the end i can assure you it worth every time, and headhache you had.
If you want more power, just do what i will do nexth mont on mine, just bolt a small turbo, with turbo chip, and intercooler, running 0.5b of boost, and you have a car with 170bhp, and loads of torque starting at 2k rpm...and off course a very good engine...Will not breakdown , very strong engine !
Hope that can help you..

i originally was going to get the swift engine then at a later date bolt a eaton m45 supercharger on but, after talking to people on here i am going for the 1.6, i still would like to bolt the supercharger on but not for a while, looking at the parts i could get them all for about £400, it the ecu that i would have to find out about,
but for the moment id be happy to get the 1.6 engine in
what is the turbo chip that you mention?
