Hi the car has been standing in garage for 3 years been move regular for mot and a quick run here and there its always been ok but got the problem when it was coming home from last test the cam censor was change the clutch is new ans brakes have been done these no binding or slipping of clutch the cat was a bit rusty but to be bonest not that bad after reading your comments I took the exhaust sensor out and looking at it it could be the problem it's a bit corroded and looks like it has melted abit so replacement will be put in today il let you no how it goes thank you to every body that taken time to help in sorting this problem out hopefully this sensor will cure it thanks again bob

As Tadpole says, I hope it is the lambda for you! Looking forward to hearing the result, I've been following this thread but not had any different ideas. If this doesn't work I'd be looking at Marks last suggestions regarding coolant temp sender etc, the plugs will be blackened if that is the case or at least darker. So whipping one out my help diagnose that. Hope It's the lambda though to solve it now!

Well here goes change the sensor and the little jimnys back in action!!! Now flying up the hills lol so a big thank you to all that helped without it I would have been in the s/////t
