29 too sensible ? was created by Haydon
i want my 2003 to be nice and capable, but not ruined. i have bothered with a 2" coil lift as i thought it was most important starting point, ride isnt too rolley and she flexes well, happy with that. but now im thinking next step is bigger tires, as im 17 and money isnt falling out of my ears, im thinking maxxis buckshot mudders 29x9.6. with a 2" body lift.

so

anyone have general important info
important body lift comments
or tyre thoughts ?

please, all comments are good, experience is good for me

What are you trying to acheive? What is the aim of going for bigger tyres?

Sorry I think you missed my point.
Why do you need bigger tyres?

Reason I ask is your Jimny will still be capable with smaller tyres...

Hello we have been upgrading a jimny for the first time and we got 265/80/15. And we have a 3" coil lift to be able to fit them under. We didn't have to cut the body at all and they never catch. But with lifting it and getting bigger tyres we need to get caster correction bushes which will stop you wobbling around on the road, I think. Also with lifting it we needed to get extended break hoses because you could risk snapping them with articulating. Also we got +3 shocks so we got better articulation this isn't an essential but our old ones were on there way out anyway. I think the tyres we got are insa turbos, quite a lot of people use these and they are quite cheap. I don't think I have missed anything I'm
Sure I'll get corrected if I have
