fitting spring spacer to cure the jimny lean help was created by robs5230
feel a bit of a dick cos i've been here before. tried to do this last week and struggled. couldn't get the axle to drop far enough to get the spring out let alone fit a spacer so i need to ask more questions.
1 does the whole front have to be jacked up ?
2 should both front lower shock bolts be removed ?
3 should both front wheels be off
4 as i only have 1 trolley jack can i jack in the centre of the axle ?
when i tried last week i only jacked 1 side and only removed 1 shock bolt.
thanks, rob

You will probably strugle without extended brake line and a set of spring compressor

if you jack front up & put axel stands under chassis then jack axel to compress shocks a bit & take bottom bolts out you can get spring & out & spacers in easy but also if your brake hoses are not long enough you will need to remove calipers too

done it ! enough play to get the springs out but with the spacer too tight to go back in. nipped the spring up with ratchet straps to get it back in. all sitting square and proud. pissed no more
well the jimny anyhow ! cheers boys

what a difference !! just took it for a spin around the lanes. no more do i feel i'm going to fall out of the drivers window and the suspension works much better. less transmission noise. feels very well planted all round. i would recommend this mod to anyone with any sort of lean for an instant cure.
