You must be bad luck Jamie!
I replaced my kingpins on the passenger side after the swivel was leaking transmission oil out and I replaced the oil seal.
I was careful when putting the shaft in not to lever on the oil seal with it, especially as it's the longer shaft and thought I'd done everything properly.
It has now leaked again, just like yours. Mine leaked in 2WD also. Ity had only been a smearing of oil across the swivel and I had been keeping an eye on it with my fingers and toes crossed but today I locked the hubs to spin the halfshaft in the oil seal and it was running out after a good drive.
So charged with enthusiasm to sort it out I stripped the hub down.
There was no damage to the kingpins. The seal looked OK but as I say you can't tell by looking at them.
When I was stripping it down, the bottom kingpin bolts seemed a little loose.
I think what had happened was that I had not knocked the new bearing races in far enough and they have been pushed in by the bearings when I did the bolts up before and then a smidgen by the use of the car and the bearing being pushed onto them.
I have replaced the oil seal again and been doubly careful not to damage it with the shaft, putting my finger on the bottom of the seal (a friend's idea) to take the weight of the shaft rather than the seal while I locate it in the diff and slide the shaft onto the seal.
I found when I went to locate the hub over the bearings last time that it was a snug fit, almost too snug to get the hub over the bearings. This time was a lot easier, leading me to think that this was the problem - as the bearings are sitting further in and thus leaving a bit more space.
I have done the king pin bolts up nice and tight and felt the resistance is ok, so hopefully this time it will be OK. I'll give it a drive with the hubs locked in the morning and hope it will be leak free!
Jamie, could this be the probelm with yours? Did you replace the oil seal when you replaced the wheel bearing. I know you had only replaced it the week before when you did the king pins but if it had leaked after and you had done something silly like I did, the seal could be knackered already!

Hmmmm they are a wonder these little Jimny's!!!!!
I managed to wangle my wheelbearing under warranty (don't ask) so they only did the bearing!!! I have to strip down to replace the seal and triple check the kingpins, I really can't think it could be anything else!!! Fingers crossed for you, they really are a pain the swivels!!!!! As soon as I have sorted out the transfer box this is next on my list...... Then the leaky 3 shocks....arrrrgggghhhhhh

Just given mine a 12 mile spin and all is good again.
On the subject of shocks. My front procomps have the wrong size bush in them. I ordered new ones from kap and they are the same!
So I would look at rough country from llama 4x4. Or the ones Martin is selling of course but not sure on the lengths for my 3 inch lift.

The saga continue's................
I have just stripped and rebuilt the hub again to have a good look inside....
All kingpin bearing's are fine, race's are sat where they should be,
so i cleaned it all up, nothing was really standing out (apart from Suzuki dealer using a chisel to take off the hub nut
which i am really impressed about )
However when looking at the oil seal i was cleaning it up and it dam near
fell out!!! I removed it with my liitle pinky :S :S
It was a really slack fit so i dug one of my new spare ones out
and it fit a lot tighter...
I fear a dodgy seal is the culprit but i will monitor the situation
as im not convinced about the condition of the cv joint.....

I bet you swore alot when you pulled it out, having stripped it all down again!!!
Then sighed a sigh or relief that the problem might well be solved!!!

Will it never end! However there is a reasonable chance that the oil seal that fell out and a CV problem are related. If the CV is not "well" then the drive shaft can be forced into an eccentric rotation which would damage the oil seal...here's hoping!

Thats what im hoping, But ive not had it in 4x4 since and its still leaking, My thought is when i turn the steering the stiff cv is forcing the shaft against the seal???
