If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The usual cause of sudden stopping is cambelt failure, but it shouldn't fire at all :huh:
Check the cam is actually going round first of all, they tend to shear all the teeth off around the crank, and look perfect.
Then look for a spark, then check the fuel pressure.

Ok, the mystery deepens:
* Cambelt? Camshaft turns fine + belt have good tension
* Fuel? A very nice spray when disconnecting the fuel rail. Repeatedly.
* Spark? Yes.
* The immobilizer lead (even though I don't have an imobilizer light)... From the workshop manual:
"When a trouble exists in the immobilizer control system (when immobilizer control module or ECM detects a diagnostic trouble code (DTC)), ECM will stop operation of the injector and ignition of spark plug." But I did see sparks...
As before the car turns over fine when running the starter but absolutely refuses to start. And it died when driving along at 50km/h without any load at all. And no mechanical noises of any kind.
Any more ideas out there?
Regards,
//Fredrik

Have you tried a different cam sensor?
Have you had the rocker cover off to check that the cam is in one piece and not snapped? Although you would hear it.
Any split hoses allowing air in anywhere?
Both coil packs ok?
Has it jumped a tooth on the timimg? Has the timing been checked?
Just a few things to start with.

Lo and behold! A week ago, I discontected the lambda after everything else failed to show any errors. The car actually started and ran very, very weekly. Could no be driven as it would die immediately. I ordered a new lambda and put it in today - and it runs!!! Fantastic! This has been the strangest error ever as the lambda actually broke down while driving, making it very hard to understand what was wrong, also the blinking-suzuki-error-msg gave the impression everything was ok.
