I think i'm gonna get a split charge system and get a 110Ah leasure battery in the boot.
Question,would the standard alternator be good enough for this task ?

Mine came with a standard Jap battery. It is rated 34Ah.
I replaced it with a bigger 634 size battery rated at 45Ah.
Had to replace the battery terminals to match the larger battery.

I run this system which is simple and cheap...

I custom made the batt tray to suit my needs and just linked up the second batt with the original seams to work with the extra gear I run

The alternator seams to hold up but it puts a strain on the belt

i put yellow top in mine nice batt to £120 new and drops in same spot CCA 630 sweet

I run one of these in the boot:

It saves the space under the bonnet issue but atthe detriment of boot space - not that there is any boot space to start with!
