Jimny Rear Crown Wheel Diameter?

I'm after the diameter (PCD) between the bolts that hold the crown wheel to the diff...?
Wondering if the "spare" LSD I have (Vit rear) would fit in the back of my Jimny?
Cheers in anticipation

So how do I measure the backlash? Guess I'll have to wait until it's destroyed? I bet even suzuki dealers will not have all the special tools mentioned in the manual.

no, not without pulling the halfshafts out and popping the diff out

But thanks for the offer

if you could measure the PCD of the bolt ring for me Gaz? centre of the head of the bolt to the opposing head bolt, i.e. the diameter of an imaginery circle drawn through the centre of the head bolts... ta!

Backlash... if you're just fitting a locker you shouldn't need to reset the backlash as you're "just" changing the gears in the centre of the diff... Disassemble it carefully laying components neatly on each side of the diff as you take them out, making sure the bearing locks stay where they are... Then take the centre gears out and fit the locker plates, then carefully refit the diff back where it was... So only the internals of the actual diff have changed, so there shouldn't be a need to reset the backlash...
I've done a front one "by feel", giving it a good waggle until it "felt right" but I wouldn't fancy doing a rear that way!
