It's a hard decision as It's a lot of money for any winch. I personally would go for the Champion. Not because I think that the T Max is a bad winch but I know you can get parts from Winch Solutions at least whereas I'm a little unsure of the parts back up for T Max, being Australian.
Also Martin has a Champion which when you read his rebuild guide seems to have taken quite a lot of abuse before it got a rebuild.
I have read of electrical connections rusting inside Champions motors but a little maintenance will stop that. Give it better sealant.
I've never owned either to give an informed opinion though as I have a second hand Superwinch EP9500. That's a great winch but more expensive.

Thanks for the links Tom. I did have a look over this forum. I see Jo King has posted an un-date on KAM lockers saying in 8 weeks or so they will have new stronger shafts. His up-date is good and is worth a read. At least its confirms they know of cases of weak shafts and have done something to sort it. The only annoying thing now is its made me want one even more
.

Your evidence seems to say that KAM is better? The opposite of what you were previously suggesting????

Read my previous post about the poll. I'm still searching for the other forums where I read about the weak shaft.
