Diff locker or Winch? Which one first

Ok so in terms of the right winch what about these two?
Either the Champion C8000EWX 12V 8000bls winch of the T-Max OUTBACK 12V 9000 lbs winch. The Champion cost more even though it had less power so iam guesing they are a better make/ build quality? What are your thoughts?
p.s please keep leaving info on the diff lockers as well please.

Hi guys

I've been pretty busy today. But tomorrow I'll see if I can find the forums where I read all the stuff about weak KAM shafts.

I also found a thread and poll on difflock.com yesterday. There it was more like 50/50 on what people preferred (KAM vs ARB). So perhaps I'm completely wrong in my assumptions afterall

How much money are you willing to spend on a winch ?

I've read that Superwinch EP/Talon series is great for the money.

How much money are you willing to spend on a winch ?

I've read that Superwinch EP/Talon series is great for the money.

Not that much :laugh: . About £300-£350. I see alot of people use Champion winches. It wont be for anything to extreme. I think 8000lbs will be good for me. Should recover the Jimny easy enough with out struggling.
p.s. its good to have good and bad points about products. As you said there is no point just ignoring them! You want to know the full story when its comes to making a decision about what product to get. Lets just hope you are wrong :laugh:.

you could use a lower powered winch if you were happy tou use snatch blocks in the winch rope when recovering !
