O.R.A transfer box was created by Seawolfvarna
Recently, I bought an O.R.A t-box. Everything is already fixed and yesterday I made trial run of my Jimny with this 6.5 :1 t-box. Unfortunately there is two problems which I have now:
- I don't have the real pattern of switching between 2WD and 4WD. Can anybody post some picture of that pattern especially for that t-box purchased from O.R.A
- The second problem is more disturbing - there is a noise coming from the t-box and I am not sure is that normal or not? May it is possible to have some run in time in order to be after that ok. Please if somebody experienced the same, just to share his experience about that?
Thank you in advance!
Yours Nick

if the noise is a wining noise thats normal for a sj box as they are driven from gear to gear & not driven by a chain like the standard jimny box
here is the shift pattern of a sj box

Thank you for reply!
I am not sure, what exactly mean wining noise?? For me, it looks more like low gear on my old Jimny box - 4L.

Unfortunately , my pattern is completely different. It looks more like opposite to me. I have middle free position in which the lever is free. Than left and backwards 4H. Than back to free position which is 2H. From there right and backwards - that is N. But where is my 4L. My guess is that must be from 2H , than right and ahead to the engine. Please, pardon my English! More modification on lever will be necessary!
Cheers!

I am also not prety sure! It is like, that everything is pretty tight. I don't believe that is bearing, because Rob assure me that everything inside is renewed. May be you are right, about chain. I will try the SJ 413 of frien of main and then I will compare the noise. I don't have experience with that kind of t- box.
