Diff/pinion bearing replacement.

Assuming you don't try for 4wd, and the hubs are not stuck locked it will last forever.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

front is even easyer than rear to change & i also have front diff available if you decide you need one

Hubs are now manual so i no longer have any sticky hub issues!
Its still providing drive to the front wheels without issue so far, does this mean an end to my playing until i replace it or can i just carry on for the short term as i'm planning on replacing the diff? I've not been off road for a couple of months with it like it but i presume they don't just go it must have been like it for some time.

I plan on doing it soon, just lack the funds for a few weeks having just forked out for a new exhaust, mot and tax. I was just sort of aiming at a "worst case".
