If its just because of concerns about the approach angle then why not relocate the rad allowing you to mount the winch further back. You could put the rad anywhere, on the roof or in the back with a pair of kenlowes would do the job.

If you have a need for a winch then i would say the benefit of it would far outweigh the negatives of the approach angle.

The winch is a must :-)
and relocating the radiator is also something to consider.

Kenlowes, what's that? Don't think they appear in my danish -> english dictionary :-)

Kenlowe are aftermarket electric fans, running a pair on a bigger rad should be all the cooling sorted.

Okay, great :-)
Perhaps I'll just look into that.

when I get my hands on a Jimny, it'll be easier to see what's needed :-)

But I don't think I'l go for a big winch bumper, I try something a bit more minimalistic. Also because it's not intended to be road-legal.

here's my front winch. only about an 70mm extra on the front and that's the fair lead . hardly ruining the approach angle
