Few Questions .... That front Bumper ... is the writing cut into the steel or is it a sticker ?

Thats growing on me .. loose the extra bars and leave the "A" frame and I like that.

Rear one looks good too. Think I need to see it painted and fitted ... now where's the credit card ?

Thanks for that.
The 'RHINO' is cut out of the steel, vent for radiator.
But can be covered with a number plate if need be.
If you wanted to mount a winch, that area would have to have an heavy plate welded in there to support it, I would imagine.
The finish of it, welding etc is excellent, very smooth finish.

I've used that site before but as we've discovered the information on the 'net is wrong. The owners manual states braked towing limit is 450kg not the 1300kg on that site and many others.

I drag a small Eriba Puck caravan no probs, it only weighs 500kg empty with a max of 650kg loaded, the Suzuki GB website differs from the manual, 1300kg braked 350kg unbraked, to be honest anything past 900kg and it is going to struggle.I would of have assumed the manual is for Japanese consumpsion as it suggests to refer to your country of origin for towing

ALW (actual laden weight) should never be more than 85% of the vehicle

Also make sure your license allows you to tow a caravan/trailer, old duffers like me are ok but new licences are not included.
DSA Trailer Towing - Driving license B+E category's
All people who have passed their standard car B driving test after 1st January 1997 are required by law to take a further test to tow trailers or caravans.

This website will match your caravan and vehicle for towing.
www.towcar.info/index.php

Suzuki website towing info, click on the technical/weight tabs. www.suzuki4.co.uk/
Nose weight for the Jimny is a max 75kg
Kerb weight 1090kg
Gross vehicle weight 1420kg
Towing capacity braked 1300kg
Towing capacity unbraked 350kg

Also be aware if you have a fixed tow bar and it covers any of your number plate it is an offence, I have a detachable whitter tow bar fitted to avoid getting a ticket. When I go off roading I have another electrical bracket that raises the socket by a few inches

Not necessarily correct.
The front page of the DSA website says exactly what you have said but that applies to B+E.

Category B allows towing provided the weight of the trailer and tow car don't exceed 3500kgs and that the weight of the trailer doesn't exceed the weight of the tow car.

Not that i doubted the info but i just checked the suzuki website too, i'll go with what that says. I never noticed the piece in my manual about the weights differing in different countries.
