90% is the rear cross of the axle from the t-case to the rear diff. You need to change it.

To find out that try to turn the central axle from t-case to r. diff with your hand and see if it is loose.

Or the other 10% is the rear flange from the rear diff where fits the axle from t-case to the rear diff.

To find out that you can look for oils at this point of your rear diff.

According the noises and the time that the noises appeared one of the abbove is your problem.

Hope help you that.

If this is its ok. Is cheap to fix it. A ''cross'' is about 15euros or 42euros for a racing and more durable one.

It takes no more than 25min to change it. You can find on the net a how to guide.

Rear cross = universal joint "spider" or hooke joint.

Grab the axle flange and the propshaft tube and try twisting by hand, you will feel any play.

15 euros is an absolute steal. The only one I could find in the UK apart from suzuki is a blueprint part, and they retail at over £40

size 25 x 63.8 mm
Quinton Hazel QL219 or ql529 (with grease nipple) good luck getting one.
Blueprint ADK83901

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
