Have a look at the rear gearbox mount too. Mine had gone and caused mine to have a knock.

Cheers for the above I shall them when i next go up the workshop, probably at the weekend.
Just a reminder of my problem - when i pull away slowly it pulls the drivers rear side down as if my brake was binding on and then as i drive off it straightens itself up.
Any other things to try ???

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

You said earlier you have an SJ front prop on the back.
Is the alignment of the universal joints correct?
If there is a sliding part these pull apart and need to go back properly, they should be marked at the splines
IIRR from my landrover days on a rear prop the two yokes are 90 degrees off set, whilst on a front prop they line up. (not sure what effect this has, but front props are usually shorter and not as inclined as rear ones)
If they are not aligned properly, the propshaft tries to snap in half as it goes round and causes the sort of problem you have.
Is the propshaft the right length?
Is there a lift kit fitted that has caused the propshaft to be at an excessive angle?
Jack it up securely with both back wheels off the floor. (in 2wd)
Get someone to gently let the clutch out in 1st gear a few times whilst you observe the propshaft flange at the axle end, they may need a bit of footbrake to provide some load . (they also have to stop the car when it falls off the jack before it runs you over, or at least be able to adopt your children if the worst happens, so try to do this from alongside the car rather than in the way of the wheels)
If you can see the flange bounce as the shaft tries to straighten the problem is in the propshaft.
