If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

I spotted this
gbr.garmin.com/ecoroute-hd/index.html
Whilst looking to see if the Halfords offer on Garmin Satnavs was a good deal. (It wasn't)
Bluetooths to a garmin unit if you have one already.
The twin cam engines should work with OBD readers.

Tried the reader on two jims and the same message came up. 'Trying to connect' but it doesn't.
The reader works fine in my 2006 Merc and a 2006 Renault.
Mmm...????

Keefe,
If I remember you live "up north", can I just remind people on the forum that we are looking for access to a Jimny of your vintage, with the "Trying to connect" message (if you have tried a reader) located in theThamesValley for a little "test".

Martin, you could have mine to have a little 'test' on anytime you want but at the moment, I'm afraid it's on axle stands awaiting a few jobs and a MOT pass.
I've just had loads of time off work, since September, may be back at work beginning of June, and the Jim's been stuck in the garage all this time looking at the inside of the door. All I've done is burnt the dinners, surfed t'internet and get abused on Xbox live!
Oh well.
