Don't know if its possible Martin but can you unbolt the bracket for the caliper and move it round one hole? Or if not would castor correction bushes in the rear arms move the caliper our of the way?
Just a couple of thoughts!

Manual VVT, 2 1/2" lift, ORA castor corrected arms, 2" ORA body lift, 4:1 transfer box, Uprated front shafts & CVs ERM , ARBs back & front 3.9 diffs, 6 point cage, ORA winch bumper - Superwinch EP9, ORA rear bumper, ORA axle truses, Diff guards ERM , TBR tank guard, Snorkel, Kumho KL71.30.9.50 15

I wondered about the caliper but thought it would upset the Handbrake cable arrangement, if I go one way the cable will be pointing at the ground and the other way it would be straight up.

I was wondering about Castor Correction or corrected arms. However it is not completely clear in my mind which direction the axle will rotate/move.

I will look into it further

So what do you think?. The arc of the axle movement seems to point to the Panhard Rod Mount arc moving down to the left as the suspension compresses and up to the left as the suspension expands meaning that this is as close as they get (if my thoughts are correct).

P.S. Note that "Mr Angry" the Angle Grinder had to come out and teach the Panhard Bolt a lesson.

I think your logic is right on the arc but to be sure - as sometimes off roading there are a lot of forces on components - would it be possible to cut the bottom off the bracket and move the bolt position higher? A possible downside though is that it is likely to make the car more 'twitchy' as ideally the panhard rod should be parallel to the axle, and also physically quite difficult to do!
Castor correction bushes would push the nose of the diff down and move the caliper slightly further forward.

Martin,
Why not cut the original Chassis mount off and fab a new one the moves the mounting a bit closer inboard? Looks like only about an inch inwards would do it and fabbing a bracket shouldn't be too much of a drama(??)
