Its getting round to that time of year for me again and i wondered if anyone has found a reasonable insurer that doesnt mind the odd one or two mods on a jimny without emptying my bank balance. Thought i might come across a specialist insurer but still havnt found anything thats outstanding yet it would be nice to find out what you all suggest.

Give Adrian Flux a call too. If you have another car to insure, they do discounts for insuring more than one vehicle, even if your other is not modified.
I have my Vespa, Modified Jimny and standard SJ410 insured with them and each of them end up being cheaper than others, especially when I remind them of how much business I'm giving them and they realise what they could lose if I went elsewhere.
Also, I had a non fault accident like you and was happy withhow they dealt with it, which counts alot when you need it.
My mother had a semi fault accident with a major insurer and none of us could understand the people in the claims department which was based abroad, making the claim process a pain in the backside.
Our friends are insured with Roadsure, like Martin and are happy with them too. i understand they are able to offer recovery whilst you are in a Greenlane with a netword of recovery agents that have Landrovers etc. This is a really useful addition to a policy if you do laning as a breakdown in some of the lanes we've been in would be disaster!

i too am with adrian flux and have been on a few different vehicles over the last few years
i think they are great as they dont add extra to your premium when you add modifications.
they also offer green lae ad off road cover as standard.
they definately get my reccomendation
