Leds are most often so cold that driving thru snow do not melt it from the lense so here in Norway I am reluctant to buy them.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

They have the same input power and produce more visible light, so technically they produce very slightly less heat.
The filament runs hotter, but I believe the envelope is smaller, so although it will be hotter to the touch (don't touch it even when cold as finger oils damage the bulb) it won't actually heat the headlamp unit any more than standard.
Stick to decent brands, as they have UV blocking filters, deadly UV rays from higher filament temperatures will discolour the cheap plastic lenses over time.
Just don't sit with them on and the car stationary for a long time (it is illegal on the road anyway except in stationary traffic) and the airflow will cool the plastic.
If you are worried, don't fit them, it is always easier (and cheaper) not to mess
Lambert said he has them fitted to his.

The LED ones? No. I've fitted them to four vehicles so far, all with plastic lens and had no trouble with the lens.

I have burned two VW reflectors with the Osram halogen lamps. They release or discharge heat when they break. That is the nightbreakers with above 100%
That never happen to the jimny.
And I cannot see that happen to leds.

I had Night Breakers in my Gen 3 and fitted them in my other car, but one blew in my other car and I replaced a pair with Phillips GT200, which are just another level. My other car has plastic lenses and are renowned for discolouring/melting, so far I haven’t had any problems.
GT200 do run hotter, don’t last as long, but are 55/60W, fortunately my other car has separate bulbs for dip and high beams, so I have Night breakers for dip and GT200 for main beam, on the basis I will be doing a little bit of speed when on main beam.
I am not sure I would fit any bulbs that are +200% for both dip and main, lifetime would be an issue and the ever present danger of melting the lenses.
