From other issues ive had with this jimny and from what ive read back in this forum, i have convinved myself that the cat converter is blocked. if i try disconnecting the exhaust through the clamp just below the engine, should this fix my problem and tell me that i need new cats? ive ordered yet another tps sensor and will put that in tomorrow to see if that changes anything. About calibrating the tps i read somewhere on the forum that martin said it learn itself but can seem to take forever to learn, so maybe that will happen. Thanks for all the responces and id appreciate any further advice

i took the exhaust off at the joiner shown in the picture just after the manifold. the engine was LOUD but it was finally able to rev past 3000. on my 2008 M13A is there a cat behind that heat shield? what part of the exhaust would i likely have to repair to fix this problem?
thanks
thanks

The cat behind the heat shield can be smashed out and removed without causing any issues
It's possibly already started to disintegrate and blocked the exhaust cat resulting in your issue
Probably going to have to replace the 2nd cat
