There are two settings menus on the Bosch head unit.
From the Home screen a quick press of the cog gives you.

From the Home screen a long press (12 -15 sec) gives you.

Don't know if any of that isuseful information?

Possibly the numbers at the right are showing signal strength, mine shows 0 for the FM but the DAB is blank, same as yours.

If you hold in the cog when you are on the DAB screen, you get this, but I don't think any of the numbers are signal strength.

(The screen is very reflective, and there is a fragment of Dog stuck to it...)

The 2 for satellites might mean your GPS doesn't have a lock and is dead reckoning based on distance and direction. (mine says 2 there as well but it can see 5 satellites ATM)
If you are on the navigation screen and quick press the cog you get a menu that includes position information, selecting that tells you how many satellites it can see (never enough) and what it thinks the position is. If there is no altitude, or the co-ordinates are blank then it doesn't have a lock.

The Bosch LCN is pretty useless for GPS in warm weather. I don't know if it is the atmosphere, or heat affecting the unit/antenna but I've had several and they were all the same!

Mine has always been rubbish on DAB, the one in the Citroen works much better, you can listen to RadioX classic Rock without dropouts!

(The GPS in the Citroen is equally rubbish, and is virtually blind to satellites this weather  too...)

I blame the antennas, but mine has been like this from new, if it suddenly happened it might be worth looking for water ingress at the DAB antenna, I think the GPS one is thrown under the dash somewhere.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Interesting FM is measured in dBuV (a voltage level) and DAB in dBm (a power level).

-24dBm is a very strong signal, if FS is signal strength. I am going to check what mine read.

I took my other car along the same route today, 9ne drop out on Classic Rock (independent station) and none on BBC, if anything the Jimny used to be better than other car.

Some more testing

main screen with radio on FM, it shows a FM signal strength of the station tuned

FM screen

main screen tuned to dab, 0 FM signal

I also get -22 in FS or Field Signal

if I tune to bbc I get FS -28, bbc normally holds its signal for better/longer.

My other car doesn’t show signal strength, but does help decode the figures

if I test on a SDR radio ch 11a is -65dBm and 12b (bbc) is -72dBm, a difference of 7db, almost the same as the Jimny radio shows.

What worries me is if I unscrew the whip antenna the DAB signal stays the same, perhaps it doesn’t use the whip for DAB or indicates a break/bad joint?

Soeley, I see in another thread you replaced your DAB antenna by removing the headlining, any hints and tips how to remove the headlining and gain access?

Just tested my antenna again,

with the antenna in place

FM is 73dBuV
DAB is -21dBm

If I remove the antenna

FM is 54dBuV
DAB is -21dBm

So the antenna is only making a difference for FM and not DAB, I need to get in to it for a look.
