If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Motacilla is likely right and it is coolant from the heater pipes, since you say the coolant is yellow.
If the pipes look sound it may be weeping from between the hose & spigot. I'd try wrapping some clean dry white kitchen roll around the heater pipes where the rubber joins and see if it gets damp/changes colour.
Holding your hand over the exhaust is trying to stall the engine and it will shake around a bit and wiggle those heater pipes more.

Hi again. Would the coolant from the heater pipes find its way inside the exhaust as the drip is definitely coming from the inside of it? Everything outside the exhaust - except the very bottom of the exhaust bracket where the drip is - is completely dry.

How long has it been doing this do you know? Also previous to this has the engine been split for a head gasket as far as you know, I'm just going off you saying it isn't using coolant so I'm wondering if it is residue that found its way in the exhaust via the engine being opened?

Hi
I’m not sure to be honest. I bought it about a month ago and pretty much had this issue since. The car is not overheating but this liquid is definitely coming from the inside of the exhaust via the exhaust bracket.

Well, if the liquid is coming from inside of the exhaust system then it's definitely from the engine, either leaking from the cylinder head or getting into the combustion chambers and condensing in the exhaust. Expansion when warm will be sealing the leak, wherever it is.
Either that or it's no longer condensing when the engine/exhaust is warm and instead going out of the tailpipe.

Thanks yet again - much appreciated.
The thing that really baffles me is that there is no overheating at all; no excessive white smoke; no loss in coolant or bubbling in the bottle and the oil and dipstick are crystal clear….
