Headliner? was created by Lambert
Another odd question. Did any gen3 ever have a dark colour headliner or are they all beige?

I haven’t seen one with darker headliner so I would say they were all the same.

How do you do that?
spray paint of some sort?
How to get it even when it is fabric?
Mine looks awful. Even got some mud from last year from spinning the wheels with the window open. Not clever.

Interesting you say beige, my offline listings which go up to 2010 are all listing as "grey".
It is certainly a mid grey so shows the dirt, but its not beige. I can go online and look at the later cars if necessary

I would struggle with calling it a grey but my colour perception with really light tones is not the best.
As for changing the colour I would probably take it out and use multiple weak coats of a diluted fabric dye over a week or so. That's without knowing of a proprietary method which there probably is.

Plenty of fabric sprays about, never used any, but it not going to get any heavy wear up there.

Just to be clear I meant to say mine is grey, yours could be biege but that would indicate a change sometime after 2012 ish.I would struggle with calling it a grey but my colour perception with really light tones is not the best.

Easy enough to change fabric colour, but I would spray it if possible to get a more even coverage. Spraying avoids the tie dye pattern effect, unless that's what you want.
I changed a blue leather steering wheel to black using shoe dye, worked perfectly and I sold the car with it still on.
One such fabric dye amzn.eu/d/5o3Sato
Now I've said it I sort of like the idea of a tie dyed spiral effect headlining, go for it, possibly on a spare headliner
