I have not disappeared, for some reason I didn't have the notifications "on" , and didn't see the message until I received a PM from JB74fan.

Yes I resolved the issue.

I took it to my local Suzuki AD and they said it was common with the previous models and big tires , ( don't  know  if that's true , since I have no exp. with the previous model), they put some thick foam between the metal layers of the back door I guess to act as a dampening and checked the small foam squares of the wheel base mount, that helped a lot but then later on my own , I covered the entire part that goes under the plastic part with a deading material (Killmat)similar to Dynamat.

Hope that helps @jb74fan

Was going to suggest using a long screwdriver to the ear
but then thought "in a moving Jimny over a bad road " Screwdriver to the head .....not a great idea, but a doctors stethoscope might be a good idea.

The source of all Jimny noises are electrical:

You need to swap your speakers and add a subwoofer, which will make them go away. ;)

Talking about rattles:

My new Gen4 had an irritating rattle in the front dash somewhere. It only showed up during some road conditions, and due to how quiet the rest of the car is, drove me crazy.

Finding the damn rattle was compounded by me being half deaf in one ear.

When I installed my subwoofer and new speakers, the guys obviously had to take the radio out and remove some dash panels.

In the process they inadvertently killed the rattle, so my sound upgrade actually DID fix my rattle.

Not sure if this will also apply to your case but i also same problem with my JB74 2020 (all stock fitted with bf goodrich ko2). Rattling sounds when driving over bumpy roads and the sound seems to be coming from the rear door. I did everything (removed spare tire, dismantled the rear door panel and lubricated everything with WD40, sound foam and sound deadening all over) but with no avail.

But just today i found that the sound was not coming from the rear door but under the car. The culprit was just the wire or hose found over the right-rear suspension dampener. It was apparently hitting the chassis or frame of the car when driving over bumpy roads. I just bent it a bit since its attached to a thin metal frame so that it would not rattle or hit the frame. Problem solved. Try to look into this one might be the same as yours.

Hello guys
i m new on this blog and i don’t find exactly how post a new problem so i found this way to tell you about my issue.

well, i have a vibrating sound in the back door of my jimny jb74. I tried to locate the exact place but couldn’t ….
I had that black wheel cover i thought it was the reason but the sound is still there after taking it off.

howewer, when i « punch » the back wheel i hear that annoying sound and trust me it drives me crazy. Sometimes i feel like the back door glass is vibrating, sometimes i feel there is something inside…
so i wanted to ask you guys if u have ever faced the same issue ?
what is the solution?
any guess ?

thanks for helping me out

Have you checked the tightness if the spare wheel nuts to make sure it is held securely? if they are tight, remove the spare wheel and check the wheel mount itself is secured properly.

On my LC, Toyota had fitted a small block of rubber that was fixed in such a way as to support the wheel at it's edge. This helped to prevent flexing of the back door, especially with my 33" spare wheel.

i have the same issue. İ took off the plastic inner panel and then hold cables, parts inside with my left hand and keep punching the spare wheel with my other hand to locate the rattle source. But it never goes away. I think they might skip a part of the insulation between metal panels where they welded together. İ will try again hope i will find it. Emir

Have you tried thin rubber washers behind the spare wheel mount between the mount and the door? THere were some made at some point without 77151-82000 seal in place
