Interesting news update today:
1. Dealers are getting an extra allocation of 1 vehicle each in August. Not clear if this is extra above the 400 planned for 2021 or simply an early delivery of the later batch.
2. Dealers are going to be chased about Jimny sales. The Dealer stock system shows many dealers have not sold their first Jimny yet indicating there are plenty available for purchase yet potential customers say there are none available. They are going to be chased as to why there is a mis-match.

Down South must have got there's first. North west due to get there delivery next week, so I'm told by local dealers. I was hoping to wait & get one on a 71 plate, that's if there are any left.

lt's the same with a lot of stuff at the moment.
l am looking at a new VW Transporter van, delivery is quoted as March 2022.
Bicycles particularly Ebikes are also in short supply with some out of stock until next year.

I have a brand new sprinter on order. Mercedes has taken the decision to release the vehicles without communication chips and retrofit them when stocks replenish.

Just on this, have any of you guys been charged extra for paint?
I've put my deposit down and hopefully getting my new one in September, and have been quoted:
Vehicle Price - £19,215.55
Delivery Fee - £453.46 (presumably to the dealership...)
Registration Fee - £55.00
Road Fund License - £275.00
Factory Options - £650.00 (two tone paint)
Total price - £20,649.01
The dealership seller said this is the charges from Suzuki and they're not charging extra. Seems the paint is what's taking it above the list price. Is this just standard and expected or am I missing something?
