lt's what happens in the car dealers world, they will sell the vehicles for whatever they can get.

lf it will sell for £24,000 they ain't going to let it go for £20,000.

l don't agree with the practice and emailed Suzuki twice to complain about it.
And although Suzuki "weren't happy" about dealers selling Jimnys over list price, and it "wasn't in the spirit of the brand", as the dealers had registered the vehicles they were technically no longer new, and there was "nothing" they could do about it.

i.e.

Suzuki will tell the dealers not to take orders and not to take deposits, vehicles will be randomly allocated to dealers based on sales performance. colours and spec. will be random pot luck.

Some dealers will ignore that directive and take specific orders and money and then will disappoint people by failing to deliver the wanted car because none of the right spec randomly turn up or buyng the car themselves to inflate the price they can command.

Just a guess....

I ‘put my name down’ at a dealership in December 2019 for a commercial version should one arrive. I’ve not been contacted since the announcement, so...

Theoretically yes.

But in practice they will be more expensive due to availability issues.

lf you didn't get your name down by the end of last year you are probably already too late.

Suzuki say the commercial is going to be imported in lower numbers than the current Jimny and dealers should not take orders
