When the new Jimny comes out next year has anyone got any ideas if there will be a waiting list for one or not ? I'm tempted to get one just for work but the thought of going on a list again not knowing if or when and how many price rises may may get added before the thing comes is all very stressful.

Without knowing the official brief, my guess is that it will be the same as for the current model.
i.e.
Suzuki will tell the dealers not to take orders and not to take deposits, vehicles will be randomly allocated to dealers based on sales performance. colours and spec. will be random pot luck.
Some dealers will ignore that directive and take specific orders and money and then will disappoint people by failing to deliver the wanted car because none of the right spec randomly turn up or buyng the car themselves to inflate the price they can command.
Just a guess....

I think Martin is going to be correct with the future Jimmy's and how dealers behave. When you read the information for the commercial Jimny it says very limited numbers will be available, this will give the dealers a green light to carry on their shameful explotiation of customers.
