CC Baxter wrote: Sorry George, no luck with your region firmware. I can tell you all regions (except Russia) run 1880 firmware and your region code is GEX. That's all I've got, Chris
Mine is on 1760. I'm in South Africa, I got mine in November 2018. Would it be safe to update to 1880 (Mine doesn't have the navigation app)?
Or should I just ask the dealer to update it?

Best to go the the Dealers, 1760.1 is available. Don't use 18** as it is from a different Source and for a different Market:saxj wrote: Mine is on 1760. "Suzuki Motor Corporation: Magyar Suzuki [Version 1860.1]/ Maruti Suzuki [Version 1760.1]"
My version number says 1760.1_180327, so I assume that is fairly recent. I'm not sure that I understand the versioning though. "Maruti" is India. The Jimny comes from Japan.

My advice is to have a dealer do it.saxj wrote: I got someone with a newer car to check the software version. Theirs is on 1770, so mine needs an update.
I'll take a trip to my friendly Suzuki dealer.
Vs1770 has been in my car here in Australia for 12 months!
It may have been replaced Vs1780, however I can't find any confirmation or a dealer who will do it!
Make sure you have reliable confirmation that the files are the right ones, ours were not!

Just remember we do not get the navigation in SA. It is about licencing that is only avaiable for europe. Check you manual so suzuki cannot make it available here because it is not licenced to be used here. It is not suzuki but actuaĺy the 3rd party of the radio software that is not playing nicely. I am stand to be corrected here but I think it is Bosch.

We may be posting across two topics now.Pspies wrote: Just checked, my car (2 months old) it has 1780 installed.
Vs 1780 is the firmware/software for Aus/Qld/NZ, so the PDF Manual for Aus/NZ Region 10 will be ok for you to find the latest functions. The publication date and part number are on the rear cover: "Part number: 39103-62R30
02/19".
