To be honest the Suzuki mudflaps at £150 a pop aren't as swish as I first thought they would be. Now I have the 215's fited they don't always catch all the muck which is a shame and there rather on the small side for my liking. I've been looking around for mud flaps for a while now, and the ones pictured on the Jimny "little D" look amazing, and are reminiscent of the defenders larger mudflaps.
I'm wondering if the DIY kits could be crafted into something similar to the defender flaps, but the ones I've seen so far are too shiny, like a vinyl that I'm not too keen on.
As with about every other part on the jimny, I am on the lookout for upgrades, but as we all know the accessory side of things is rather slow at the minute.

Thanks all for the warm welcome!
DIY sounds like the best route at the mo. made a set for my now long gone classic mini however that was a case of cheap joinery 'L' brackets and pop rivets  Fortunately this is before I learned that I'm handy with a spanner and fabrication so much better now!
Believe the OG flaps have metal reinforcing shapes where they are attached to the arches so maybe if i can get hold of a template for that i can make my own, then get the universal type and cut to suit while still utilising the stock mounting method?
Hopefully Soley will pop up and drop some wisdom on us all

Other than reducing spray for other road users, do mud flaps do much? Not personally a fan of how they look on the Jimny so they'd need to really add something useful for me to consider fitting them.

From my experience on other vehicles, front mud flaps keep a lot of road muck, spray and dirt off of the underside of the vehicle. Rears do the same to stop it flying up the back. Night and day the muckiness of the rear window/ hatch on a hatchback with them on Vs off. Coming from classic cars, I've found them to be sill savers for sure! My golf mk2 has had them fitted up front from new and it's still got its original sills with not a spec of rust on

I have them on Dreadnaught. They definitely stop the tyres from spreading mud up the sides of the doors and handles which saves you getting covered by transfer. That said I would sooner have defender or rally car style ones than the Suzuki ones.
