Forgive my ignorance but do you also need the carrier from the donor or is it just the new caliper that bolts to the existing Jimny carrier?

I've just fitted discs to the rear and want to get rid of the solid front discs and upgrade to vented with larger calipers so yes I will also need the carriers .11/60 wrote: Forgive my ignorance but do you also need the carrier from the donor or is it just the new caliper that bolts to the existing Jimny carrier?

Edit: As Nissan300 pointed out, carriers have to be wider to accommodate vented discs. I have to check my parts at home to see if i used the vitara carriers...

Yes they would but my carriers are not wide enough to accept a vented disc. I'm waiting for to postman to deliver vitara lwb discs and calipers with the carriers today can't wait as I love working on my jimny.
