Jezz wrote: The trigger wire on my 05 soft top was the red wire on the drivers side headlight.

Hi, Jezz...

After a week of nothing but work, I'm finally gonna get back to this....

My 2004 soft top doesn't have a red wire at driver's side headlamp....can you possibly tell me which bulb terminal your red wire went to please.....when looking at the bulb from the rear, is it left, top or right?

Thank you,

Gus ;)

Hi Gus,

I'm pretty sure it was the right hand terminal as you look at the rear of the lamp, But i'll check for you tomorrow when i go down my lock up where the jim jam is. Or if you have a test meter, pull the plug off the lamp, put the jimny on full beam. neg side of the meter to earth positive side to the plug, Two terminals will be +12 volt one should be 0 volt, flick back to dipped and it should change to +12 volt, That will be the trigger negative for your relay.
Hope that helps Jez.

It's been fettled just a tad.

Hi Gus,

Yes it's the right hand terminal as you look at the rear of the lamp.
